Once here there was the stadium of Domiziano (and you can see some remains beneath the church of S. Agnese). Piazza Navona is a baroque complex built up around half of 1600: there are three beautiful fountains, and the most interesting is the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini. If you come in Christmas time, you can find a characteristic marketplace.
