The original temple to the tutelary divinities of the Julia family has been
erected in 27 B.C. by Agrippa, but it was destroyed by a great fire in 80 A.D.;
what we admire is a reconstruction made by Adriano at the beginning of the II
century. The interior is round shaped, with an hemispheric cap and an opening
at the top (a circle of 8m. 92cms in diameter), which allows light and air
to come in.
