This basin, oval shaped and 600 meters long, is now almost completely filled in
with soil. It was made in Tarquinio prisco time; the brick structure has been
adorned with an imperial stage by August, and finally restored by Costantino;
in this period the Circo Massimo could hosted almost 200.000 persons.
Now Circo Massimo is a public garden, surrounded by the original outline.
