Between 1891 and 1911 Luca Beltrami,
a famous architect, reconstructed the castle back to its original model. He
rebuilt also the Filarete Tower, which, containing 250.000 pounds of gunpowder,
exploded for a lightning in 1521.

In the Sforza Castle now you can admire important collections in the Museum of Ancient
art, in the Picture Gallery, in the Museum of Decorative Arts, the Trivulziana
Library and the "Achille Bertarelli" Print Collection.
